(D = doctor; P = patient)
D : How can I help you?
P : (Pointing at his arm) I’m here because of this wound in my arm.
D : I see. Let me get a better look. How did you get hurt?
P : I was kidding around with my friend, but then fell on the edge of a chair.
D : This happened not too long ago? The wound appears fresh.
P : Yes, it happened less than half an hour ago. I came straight here after disinfection.
D : For now, your wound seems well disinfected. You said you hit the edge of a chair. Was the chair dirty, covered in dust or dirt?
P : No, the chair was clean.
D : Okay, we will need to rinse and disinfect your wound first before suturing it.
D : Fortunately, your wound doesn’t seem to run deep, so simply suturing will suffice.
P : I see.
D : Did you get a tetanus shot as a kid?
P : Yes, I got two tetanus shots so far, including the last one I got two years ago.
